Anne Willieme, MFA
Creator and Leader
French-with-Art
Anne Willieme is a native English-French bilingual and language lover who has held exhibitions in galleries and public spaces in the U.S. and in Europe in main cities such as Washington D.C. and New York City, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, and Rome. Her art work focuses on interactive installations and performances based on sensory perception.
Willieme was an art lecturer at the MET Museum for over ten years where she lectured in English, French, and Italian and collaborated with the Education Department on all of its main programs.
As an education designer, she focuses on bringing about novel art platforms, which offer innovative ways of knowing and learning, such as French-with-Art and The Art of Seeing, a perceptual-art training program based on her proprietary perceptual-art methodology. Over the past decade, she has been offering ArtMed inSight programs to medical students, physicians, and healthcare practitioners at leading medical institutions to help them enhance their visual diagnostic and communication skills.
Willieme also undertakes research projects to examine the role of art in knowledge acquisition, the healing sector and in language practice as well.
She currently speaks nationally and internationally on the topic of art, art and the senses, and art and wellness.
